The Meat & Carbs Diet: Following the Food Pyramid

We’ve all heard over and over again to keep a balanced diet by following the food pyramid, and incorporating more greens and other vegetables into our daily meals.  But lets face it, that’s pretty unrealistic.  I know that as I am getting older I should pay more attention to what I eat, but what if all I want to do is just binge eat a burger and fries at restaurants once a week (or 2 or 3 times a week)?  You’re still getting your intake of meat and carbs, right?  My theory is that when you do get older you won’t be able to eat this kind of food, so why not enjoy as much of it as you can now? (Thank god for having a high metabolism).

BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse is probably one of my favorite restaurants that makes the best thin cut fries and burgers that are so much more fancy than the McDonald’s drive-thru.  Of course I’ll admit that McDonald’s french fries can do no wrong, but BJ’s has to be the runner-up.  I would recommend BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse for those foodies out there, or for those wanting to try out a restaurant you’ve never been to before.
