This is my absolute favorite perfume ever!  It smells SO good and honestly just makes you feel more confident.  I always love to test out and experiment with new perfumes, and typically don’t like to spend too much money on designer perfumes.  Fortunately enough for me, I got this on a super sale for $12, but it is definitely worth what you pay for it.  SO good!

I hope this gift guide gets you all in the Valentine’s Day spirit and gives your some gift inspo!  How will you be spending Valentine’s Day this year?  Whether you have something fun planned with your guy, or going out with the girls, I’d love to hear in the comments below!

Product Review: L’Oréal Elnett Extra Strong Hold Hairspray

Today I am partnering with Influenster and L’Oréal to share with all of you a product review of the L’Oréal Elnett Satin Extra Strong Hold Hairspray!

First things first, the struggle is so real for me trying to find a hairspray that works with my hair type.  My hair is super thin and fine, which leads me to sticky and crusty feeling hair every time I use hairspray.  It’s awful, totally not a fan.

I was a little hesitant in trying out this L’Oréal hairspray, just because I was afraid of crusty hair again, but turns out I was a bit quick to judge! This is probably the best hairspray I’ve ever used!  It’s soft on your hair after application and doesn’t leave that overly-dry, crusty feeling that most other hairsprays would do.  After spraying the product through my hair, my curls have held really well and totally helps me out in keeping my hairstyle nice and fresh all day long.  With the micro-diffusion technology and humidity protection of the hairspray, my hairstyle lasts all day!

The only problem with it though is the smell.  It’s not a bad smell, just one of those smells that makes you feel like you’re in a flower-scented candle garden with a candle on every square inch of the garden, a little strong.  But it’s not totally noticeable or something that would turn me off from using the product again.  It works with my hair and I am so happy that I finally found a hairspray that works with my thin and fine hair!

Thank you to Influenster and L’Oréal for sponsoring this post.

5 Ways to Relax & Unwind

For those of you who may not know, I can easily panic and get nervous with things going on in life, especially as a college student.  With deadlines for big assignments, exams, projects, working, and just adulting in general, I easily stress myself out.  And that’s why taking time for relaxation is so important to me!  Today I am going to share with you five of my personal favorite ways to relax and unwind with everything that may be going on in life.  Time to de-stress!

1) Take a Bath

Taking a bath is easily my favorite way to relax and unwind.  Surrounding yourself with fresh scented candles, bubbles (or even rose petals), soft music, and some peace and quiet, you really can’t go wrong.  It’s so relaxing to just sit in some warm water and forget about everything else that is going on.

2) Listen to Music

I lovvvvvvve music, my Spotify playlists are super intense and full of all my jams.  From rock, to throwback hits, to today’s hits, I have just about everything.  Listening to music is a great way to tune out the world and forget about everything.  It also helps me study, a good way to combine stressful school work with something that is stress-free.  Check out some of my past music playlist blog posts for what is featured in my Spotify library!

3) Blog!

I love to blog! Not only does it help me relax, but it’s super fun and something I’m really into, obv!  I find fun and relaxation in writing content for all of you guys and keeping up with my own little business.  And of course, reading blogs from my favorite bloggers is always a great way to relax too!

4) Sleep or Nap

Sleeping is literally my jam.  Fun fact about me, I can’t drink any caffeine, so sleep is literally my best friend.  I’m super OCD about getting my 6-9 hours of sleep per night, and of course, nap a ton if I fall under those sleeping hours.  But a mid-day power nap sometimes is just what I need to kind of clear my head and get a fresh recharge.

5) Catch some rays! (When the sun is out, of course)

As a Seattleite this one is a bit difficult to do, but during the late Spring and Summer time, this is one of my go-to hobbies.  Whether it’s in my yard, at a nearby park, or at the beach, laying out in the sun and listening to some music calms me down so much, and even makes me a little tan, and super freckly (and even sunburned, unfortunately).

A Tutorial: My Everyday Makeup Routine

Happy Friday, everyone!  Today is a pretty special day for my blog as I have taken the next step and finally started one of my blogging goals, to start vlogging on YouTube!  I finally bought some nice video equipment off of Amazon to begin this process and I had so much fun creating my first makeup tutorial today, even though I had absolutely no idea what I was doing!

This is the quick and easy makeup routine that I use everyday if I’m going to school, going to work, or even to go out and about.  It’s simple, natural, and even a little fun without totally overdoing it!

All products used in this video are listed on YouTube in the description box of this video for your convenience!  I would definitely recommend trying some of them out, even some of the more expensive products as well, some of the prices really are worth the amount you pay for them!

Dressing Up Simplicity

Good morning and happy Sunday, everyone!  For those of you who don’t know, I like to keep a fairly simplistic wardrobe.  I like taking simple pieces of clothing and putting them together with cute accessories that can totally dress up any outfit.  My day-to-day go-to outfit typically consists of jeans and a t-shirt, paired with cute boots and cute accessories.  Simple doesn’t have to mean boring!

Who says looking your best has to consist of over-dressing and wearing designer brands everyday?

I have partnered with Cleo Madison to show you just how a simple t-shirt can be dressed up to make any outfit look super cute, without costing a fortune!

I have paired Cleo Madison’s Kendall Free Top in Charcoal with my favorite pair of skinny jeans, suede booties, pink wristlet, fashion rings, and a 3-in-1 layered necklace set.  What I love the most about this top is that it’s loose fitting, which makes it very comfortable.  The short sleeves are a bit longer than most which adds to that extra comfort of the shirt.  A simple and comfortable look with a dressy twist.

Plus, this outfit is perfect for almost anything!  Perfect for wearing to school, wearing out and about around your town, a day at the mall, your job (depending on where you work), a concert, just about anything!

Let me know in the comments section below how you dress up your simple looks!
