5 Ways to Relax & Unwind

For those of you who may not know, I can easily panic and get nervous with things going on in life, especially as a college student.  With deadlines for big assignments, exams, projects, working, and just adulting in general, I easily stress myself out.  And that’s why taking time for relaxation is so important to me!  Today I am going to share with you five of my personal favorite ways to relax and unwind with everything that may be going on in life.  Time to de-stress!

1) Take a Bath

Taking a bath is easily my favorite way to relax and unwind.  Surrounding yourself with fresh scented candles, bubbles (or even rose petals), soft music, and some peace and quiet, you really can’t go wrong.  It’s so relaxing to just sit in some warm water and forget about everything else that is going on.

2) Listen to Music

I lovvvvvvve music, my Spotify playlists are super intense and full of all my jams.  From rock, to throwback hits, to today’s hits, I have just about everything.  Listening to music is a great way to tune out the world and forget about everything.  It also helps me study, a good way to combine stressful school work with something that is stress-free.  Check out some of my past music playlist blog posts for what is featured in my Spotify library!

3) Blog!

I love to blog! Not only does it help me relax, but it’s super fun and something I’m really into, obv!  I find fun and relaxation in writing content for all of you guys and keeping up with my own little business.  And of course, reading blogs from my favorite bloggers is always a great way to relax too!

4) Sleep or Nap

Sleeping is literally my jam.  Fun fact about me, I can’t drink any caffeine, so sleep is literally my best friend.  I’m super OCD about getting my 6-9 hours of sleep per night, and of course, nap a ton if I fall under those sleeping hours.  But a mid-day power nap sometimes is just what I need to kind of clear my head and get a fresh recharge.

5) Catch some rays! (When the sun is out, of course)

As a Seattleite this one is a bit difficult to do, but during the late Spring and Summer time, this is one of my go-to hobbies.  Whether it’s in my yard, at a nearby park, or at the beach, laying out in the sun and listening to some music calms me down so much, and even makes me a little tan, and super freckly (and even sunburned, unfortunately).
