March Life Update

I have been a little MIA from blogging and my social media for the past couple weeks because SO much has been happening in my life right now, and today I just wanted to share with you all why I have not been on my usual schedule of blogging and posting on social media, and share some exciting news!

School life:

For those who have been following along for a while, you know that I am a college student and school does take up a lot of my time.  But, I am now currently 54 days away from graduating and seriously could not be more excited about it!  I’d say I have fairly easy classes this semester, but honestly, the workload is insane and takes up SO much of my time during the week, which is why I have not been as active on here as I had been hoping for right now.  But with a little under two months left of school, I am really just trying to focus on finishing up school strong and have been putting a lot of focus into my studies right now and being present with work, my friends, boyfriend, and family as finishing up college is going to bring so many new opportunities and changes.  I am also in the middle of planning my graduation trip for May and trying to narrow down a couple of places I’d like to travel to as well!

Work life:

For those who don’t know, I have worked as a part-time sales associate at Macy’s throughout college for my part-time job, and with working there for about 3 years now, the store I work at is actually closing at the end of the month.  I am finishing up my job there until the end, but what has been a big and exciting change in my life right now is I actually started my first big-girl job last week!  Last summer I was a Social Media Marketing intern for a small marketing and advertising agency in downtown Seattle and I was offered a job as a Freelance Marketing Strategist as I finish up school for the next couple months.  For my new job, I primarily work from home which is super convenient with school and occasionally go into the office for work as well.

Since this is my first big-girl job, it’s been such an adjustment and has made the adulting feel so real right now and is definitely preparing me for what life after graduation will be like!  As I work this job I have also been approached by a couple other companies as well for full-time opportunities after graduation and have really been considering them and taking the next steps as well as they are something I am really interested in and passionate about.  These are currently a work in progress so stay tuned!

Blog life:

As for my blog right now, I honestly feel like I’ve been in a bit of a creative rut and have had some writer’s block the past couple weeks.  While I haven’t been blogging as much as I like right now, these things happen and I am taking this time to sort of refresh and not force anything when it just doesn’t feel right.  But I have been brainstorming ideas during my downtime and have some new content that will be coming soon!

Seattle life:

The weather in Seattle for the past month has been insane and has me so ready for Spring and Summer.  All of February we were basically living in the snow, which was a ton of fun for the first two weeks but then started to just get old.  Seattle actually saw a record amount of snowfall than it has seen in a really long time in February so it was actually pretty exciting.  I had so much fun spending time with my boyfriend and my family with all the snow days we had and felt like a mini-vacation in itself.  So far this month, we have had the four seasons in one day type of weather which I honestly cannot stand.  Last week especially, we would wake up to a snow storm and literally would all be melted and sunny by afternoon which has been the weirdest thing.  Luckily, warmer temps are in the forecast and I am so excited about it!

Thanks for reading and for following along with me, it means a lot!
