For the past few months, I have had some specific beauty and skincare products that I’ve had on my wishlist and have been wanting to try. I recently bought them all and have tried them all out and I love them! And everything is affordable which makes it even better. I thought I’d share these finds with you all because they have worked so well for me.
1. Dove Body Wash Mousse with Argan Oil
This body wash is a game changer! It serves as a body wash and shaving cream and I love the mousse texture. The argan oil scent smells so good and is so easy to apply. I typically just use it as shaving cream but love how it can be used for both.
2. No7 Instant Illusion Wrinkle Filler
As I am approaching my mid-20s, I’ve started to care a lot more about my skin than I used to and am getting more into skincare products and things I can use to really take good care of my skin. I’ve always had a forehead crease expression line, same with under my eyes, and obviously, it is totally ok to have expression lines, but the creases after are starting to drive me crazy! I did some research on affordable skin care products that help cover up wrinkles and expression lines and saw so many good reviews about this product that I had to try it out. While it is affordable, which is great, I’d say it does work well for what it is. It works good for me, but I do think another more expensive product would do the job a bit better. I do use it very regularly though, every day after I get out of the shower I apply the wrinkle filler and it does do a good job of covering the fine lines.
3. Makeup Brush Cleaning Pad
I’ve been in desperate need for one of these for forever and so glad I finally got it. It’s $6 on Amazon too which is great! While I have had a little bit of trouble trying to get the pad to stick to my sink in order to wash my makeup brushes, it still gets the job done and I now have very clean makeup brushes! I typically use it with water and a brush cleaning spray and rub them on the pad for a couple minutes each to ensure they’re fully clean. Highly recommend if you wear makeup regularly and need to wash your brushes!
4. Rose Quartz Jade Roller
For the longest time, I actually had no idea what jade rollers were until I saw so many different bloggers and influencers I follow on Instagram talking about it. They would always talk about the benefits of jade rolling and why it was so important, and because of my new obsession with skincare products, I decided to try it out. And it actually really does work (and it’s inexpensive)! I thought it’d be kind of a placebo type thing, but there really are so many great benefits from jade rolling and it already is helping out my skin. Essentially, jade rolling is like a facial massage, but with so many added benefits. For those who may not know, the purpose of jade rolling is to increase circulation in your face while also helping smoothe out fine lines and wrinkles. It also reduces puffiness and inflammation in the face due to the stagnation of the lymphatic system. I try to use my jade roller every night, but usually, end up just using it 3-4 times per week before I go to bed after I wash my face, and it feels SO GOOD.
5. E.L.F. Gentle Peeling Exfoliant
Out of all the exfoliants I have used, this one is by far my favorite! What I like the most about this product is that you can basically see the results right as you’re using it. Since it is a peeling exfoliant, it immediately starts peeling off the dead skin on your face after you start rubbing the product on to exfoliate, and while it may seem a bit gross, it really does the job so well! I use it 2-3 per week and love how clean and fresh my skin feels after using it!
6. Makeup Eraser
Total game changer! This is by far the easiest way to remove makeup and totally worth the $20. I used to use standard oil-free remover and wipes but this is SO much easier and more convenient to pack for when you travel too. I can’t go back to my old method after using this. The cloth is super soft and lightweight too and feels so nice on your skin. All you have to do is get the cloth wet with warm water and then start wiping it on your face and eyes to remove all your makeup. Super simple and works SO good (and comes in so many different colors too)!
