Happy Tuesday friends! As most of you probably know by now, I am in the final stretch of school with less than 3 weeks until graduation (eek!) and school has been absolutely crazy! So sorry for how MIA I have been these past few months, and I cannot wait to be back on regularly scheduled programming real soon. But, over the weekend I actually took a little road trip over to Pullman, where the main campus of my school is, with my mom and boyfriend for Mom’s Weekend and had SO much fun. It’s been forever since my last weekend trip and it felt so nice to get away and take a real break from school before finals, and especially nice being back in Pullman after having lived there for two years.
For those who may not know, Pullman is all the way across the state from Seattle right on the border of Idaho, so it was a long day to road trip there on Friday and back home on Sunday. We, of course, made a couple pit stops at two scenic spots on the way to Pullman that are some of my favorite places to visit on the drive, Palouse Falls and the GO COUGS landmark in Othello. With the number of times I have done the drive from Seattle to Pullman and back, I had actually never stopped at the Go Cougs landmark and was so excited to have finally stopped on this drive. It is such a great place to take photos if you are a coug!
If you go to school in Pullman or have lived there before, you definitely know how crazy Mom’s weekend can get in such a small town. That being said, all the hotels fill up insanely quick, even when you make a reservation a year in advance. While we booked the trip over a year ago, our only option left was staying at the Motel 6 in Moscow, Idaho right next to Pullman, and I was honestly terrified at first haha. I think I’ve seen way too many TV shows and movies of the sketchiest things happening at motels, not to mention we didn’t arrive and check in until about midnight on Friday night. It was definitely an experience but got used to it real quick. Since it is located in a college town and most of the guests were also there for Mom’s Weekend made me feel so much better and got over my little fear lol.
While in Pullman for the weekend, we went to go see the new Shazam! movie which I think may be my favorite DC movie (If you really know me, you know I am a complete Marvel fan), saw Jim Gaffigan’s stand-up comedy show (which was hilarious!), ate at a couple of new restaurants I had never been to before, and took my senior graduation photos! The weather was definitely not ideal over the weekend and was so cold, taking my photos was definitely an experience with how cold and windy it was, but I am so excited to share them with you all very soon, stay tuned and be on the lookout for those coming within the next week or so!
Thanks for reading!
