Happy Monday and beginning of a new week, I hope you all had a great weekend! I have some pretty exciting things to share in today’s life update post as so much has been happening for the past few weeks, basically ever since I graduated last month, and I cannot wait to get right into it with you all.
1. Just For Fun
Last Friday my boyfriend and I attended the Train/Goo Goo Dolls concert at the White River Amphitheater and it was SO much fun! I’ve been listening to both of these bands ever since I was about five or six and it was so great to finally see them perform, they both have so many classics that I absolutely love! It was actually like a whole experience though lol. The weather decided to downpour rain on us sitting out in the grass lawn general seating and we got absolutely soaked (we even had our rain jackets and umbrellas!) and were so cold all night. You really never know what to expect with outdoor concerts in Seattle. Thankfully the rain only lasted about 45 minutes.
But one super cool thing I wanted to mention was the kindness of strangers! We had just finished watching the opening act and then Goo Goo Dolls perform, and while in the process of waiting for Train to start, two super nice ladies actually were looking to get rid of spare tickets they had for front row seats, for free! We could not believe it! They guided us to the seats and we got to enjoy the rest of the concert listening to Train in the front row, it was so unreal and we had the best time! I honestly think they chose us out of all the people they were looking for because we probably looked so miserable just sitting out there in the grass soaking wet with our umbrellas like completely hiding us, haha. While we were still so cold the rest of the night, I had never been to a concert where I had been able to sit so close up to the stage before, and I honestly think that spoiled me a bit haha. Ever since I’ve been wanting to go to concerts with front row seats lol!
We just felt incredibly grateful that out of all the people attending the show, they chose us for the front row seats, and were two genuinely nice people. We could not stop thanking them and even gave them a hug for such a kind gesture to strangers. Definitely restores my faith in humanity lol, we really lucked out there.
2. Blog Life
Since finishing up school for good last month, I have had more time on my hands to dedicate more time to the blog which has been so great since I absolutely love it. I’ve been working so hard with going out regularly and shooting photos, brainstorming content, creating content, being active on social media and more, and all the hard work and time is really starting to pay off!
One of my biggest goals for my blog this year was to start getting things going with travel blogging since traveling is one of my favorite things to do. And I am so excited to announce that because of my work and dedication to that, things are finally starting to move forward with my travel blogging! I could not be more excited about it as this is something I’ve been dreaming about for so long. I’ll actually share a bit more about this down further in this post.
And because of my time and effort, I actually have a couple other exciting brand collaborations coming up this month on the blog and on my Instagram that I can’t wait to share with you all. Stay tuned and be sure to follow along on both! This is only the beginning, the best is yet to come!
As I briefly mentioned above, I have started getting more into travel blogging, and because of my time and efforts, I landed my first travel collaboration that I actually completed last week! There will be a full blog post about this coming later on this week, be sure to stay tuned!
I also have an upcoming travel collaboration coming up later this month as well that I am also extremely excited about so prepare for more travel content headed your way, and I hope you all enjoy it!
4. Work Life
One last thing I wanted to share that is also very exciting, I actually got a new job that I start today! (Hello adulting!) For the past couple of months, I have been doing part-time freelance work in marketing/advertising which has been great experience for me and something I will still be continuing to do a bit longer, however, I got offered a full-time job with a tech company in downtown Seattle that I am so excited about and will be something really great for me as a new college graduate. I will be working as an Operations Specialist and working a lot with clients and quality assurance.
As I will now be working full-time and a little bit in freelance work, I will still be spending as much time as I can with blogging as I have so many fun ideas coming! For now, these next few weeks will definitely be an adjustment as I jump on the “working 3 jobs” bus!
As I finish writing this post, I’ve started to think, would you all be interested in seeing me sharing these kinds of posts once a month? Let me know if that’s something you’d be into!
Thanks for reading!
