For those of you who have read my previous blog posts, improving my fitness plan has been a big new years resolution for me this year. I have been more open to trying new workout classes and other types of fitness to find what I like best and what works out for me.
Over the past couple months, I have regularly been attending yoga classes and keeping up a steady workout schedule of running a lot more than I used to and going to the gym frequently.
And let me tell you, I have noticed such a difference with this steady workout schedule. I notice myself feeling healthier and better about myself each time I work out.
So this brings me to Wanderlust 108!
For those who may not know, Wanderlust is mainly a large yoga festival that is a TON of fun. With fun music and a great community of people, it’s such a fun time, while also getting a nice, relaxing workout in! Definitely an event to add to the bucket list.
When I found out Wanderlust 108 was coming to Seattle, I was BEYOND excited. The event consisted of a 5k run/walk, yoga & meditation, and many other events throughout the day, with so many booths consisting of cute yoga apparel, healthy granola bars, and much more. Not to mention, we lucked out with having some unbelievably nice Seattle weather. 80 degrees for a fun day outside? Yes, please!
Starting off my day with this super fun morning workout made me feel very strong and proud of myself, like I had accomplished so much today.
After checking in and putting my race number on my shirt, I couldn’t wait to start the 5k! The run was so fun and casual, with no timers pressuring myself and the flexibility to run and walk as I please. Growing a passion for running, I tried to push myself as much as I could during the 5k to my own comfort, running as much as I could while occasionally taking a walking break. And once I crossed the finished line, it was all worth it.
And what a great way to end a race by a total “gram-worthy” Wanderlust real-life polaroid filter photo-op!
10/10 will do again! I cannot wait for the next Wanderlust tour event and to keep up my passion for yoga, running, and participating in many more 5k’s.
