Today's vlog marks the final vlog in my southwest road trip series vlogs! On day 7, we made the long 13-hour drive from Las Vegas, NV up to Diamond Lake, OR and it was such an exhausting day full of driving. We also learned that Nevada is just full of a whole lot of nothing (like rarely any towns to stop and get gas either when driving up the state) but cool to see since we most likely won't be doing that drive again. We then drove through Northern California and up into Oregon. Our goal was to make it to Klamath Falls, OR (which we did, and all the hotels in town ended up being booked, so we had to drive an extra hour up to Diamond Lake where we found a hotel for the night).

We started our adventures on day 8 exploring Crater Lake National Park in Oregon before finally driving back home to Seattle and made a quick pitstop in Eugene, OR at the University of Oregon for lunch.

Thanks for tuning into the road trip series! This vacation was definitely one of the best I've ever been on and checked off so much from the bucket list and created some of the best memories.

Southwest Road Trip Vlog | Day 7-8 | Driving Home to Seattle + Adventures in Oregon

Welcome back to my channel!

In today's vlog, I continue my southwest road trip series with our adventures from day 6! We spent the day in the greater Las Vegas area by traveling to Valley of Fire State Park (seriously such a stunning place!!) then over to Hoover Dam (my first time there!) then back to our hotel in Vegas for the night. We walked over to TopGolf then went shopping around The Strip and got gelato because we literally saw gelato places everywhere we went around The Strip while we were in Vegas, we knew we had to stop at least once while we were there. This was another fun and laid-back day around Vegas seeing places we had never seen before and just having loose plans.

Southwest Road Trip Vlog | Day 6 | Las Vegas

Welcome back to my channel!

In today's vlog, I continue my southwest road trip series with our adventures from day 5! This was probably the most "relaxing" day of our vacation and we didn't have any plans other than to wander around the Strip and chill by the pool, which was much needed after the busy few days we had exploring national parks in the Southwest. We stayed at the Elara by Hilton Grand Vacations which is the perfect central location on the Las Vegas strip. It's actually located just off the Strip where you're not actually on it, but close enough to walk to it and see it out your hotel room window. I've stayed at this hotel before when visiting Vegas and is personally one of my favorites! It connects to the Planet Hollywood Miracle Mile Shops as well that takes you right to the Strip, so it's definitely the perfect central location. I also wanted to mention that Las Vegas is doing a great job of following mask mandates and we felt very comfortable and safe mask-wise wandering around the Strip and walking through all the hotels and casinos.

Southwest Road Trip Vlog | Day 5 | Las Vegas

Welcome back to my channel!

In today's vlog, I continue my southwest road trip series with our adventures from day 4! On day 4, we started our day bright and early at Zion National Park in Utah to hike Angels Landing and part of The Narrows, made our way over to Bryce Canyon National Park, and then finally ended the day in Las Vegas.

*The Angels Landing hike is not an easy one, and, if you do the entire thing, can be a bit scary at the top. Angels Landing is about a 5-mile hike roundtrip but is VERY steep and has a ton of switchbacks. It is known for its “Hogsback” which is essentially a steep and narrow stone pathway pretty much like walking on a cliffside in which you hold on to chains the whole way on the Hogsback so you don’t fall off. If you have a fear of heights, DO NOT do this portion of the hike! I have a huge fear of heights and just looking at the Hogsback freaked me out, but the good news is you can still do the Angels Landing hike and I promise you, you will not be the only one not doing the Hogsback portion of the hike when you get to the top.

We were also not able to do the full Narrows hike as there were some bacteria in the water but we were still able to see a lot of it and do the trail portion of the hike rather than walking through the shallow water.

Southwest Road Trip Vlog | Day 4 | Utah + Las Vegas

In today's vlog, I continue my southwest road trip series with our adventures from day 3! On day 3, we drove from Blanding, UT across the Arizona border to Monument Valley, Horseshoe Bend, and the Grand Canyon, and eventually back to Utah for the night for day 4's adventures.

One thing to note in particular about Horseshoe Bend is that upon arrival to the park, the main overlook is a 1.5-mile round trip walk. It can look so deceiving when you first get there, you're practically wondering where you're walking to or even wondering if you're in the right place, and then Horsehoe Bend just shows up out of nowhere, and it's so beautiful!! We also encountered some wildlife on our drive to the Grand Canyon North Rim which was super cool!

Southwest Road Trip Vlog | Day 3 | Arizona

Welcome back to my channel!

In today's vlog, I continue my southwest road trip series with our adventures from day 2! On day 2, we made the nearly 4-hour drive from Salt Lake City to Moab, UT at 4:30 in the morning to make it to our first stop in Moab for the day, Arches National Park. With how popular national parks have been over the past couple of months, it's important to know that you will want to get to Arches as early as you can in the morning because they do limit the number of visitors in the park at once. The road leading up to the check-in station is only so big, and once that fills up and cars start causing hold-ups on the nearby highways, they will ask you to leave and come back later. Hence the fact why we got up so early and arrived at the park by 7:30am, tough but so worth it!

The main hike we did in Arches was the Delicate Arch trail where you get stunning views of the iconic "Delicate Arch". It was by far our favorite hike and view in the whole park!

After Arches, we drove next door to Canyonlands National Park (also in Moab) then found a hotel for the night in Blanding, UT.

Southwest Road Trip Vlog | Day 1 | Salt Lake City

Welcome back to my channel!

In today's vlog, I take you along on our quick and speedy road trip getaway to Oregon. I share our travel guide into how we spend just 72 hours in Oregon, visit 6 cities, and get a whole lot of adventure. On our 72 hour trip, we explored parts of Oregon we've never been to before like Bend, Florence, and Newport Beach, and also visit some familiar places like Seaside, Cannon Beach, and Portland.

Notable and must-see places:
Bend ~ Smith Rock State Park + the last Blockbuster Store
Florence ~ Florence Sand Dunes
Newport ~ Newport Beach! Honestly, the most beautiful beach I've seen, Oregon beaches are unreal if you have not yet been! This is probably the best one in Oregon too. Highly recommend stopping at the viewpoints along the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) as well, you're always bound to get a beautiful photo-op
