Happy Monday! I am SO excited for this week for a couple reasons. Today is the day I finally start my summer internship! I’m a little nervous but also really excited for it, it’s going to be a great experience for me. And also my birthday is on Friday! So weird to think I’ll be 22. While I’m still not totally sure what I’m doing for my birthday yet, I can’t wait to celebrate over the weekend!
But today I wanted to share these super cute shorts from American Eagle with y’all that are currently on sale! I have literally been shopping at American Eagle since I was in junior high school and have always loved it, I just never get tired of their clothes. Plus recently they have really stepped up their game and have brought out the cutest clothes for summertime!
I’m sure y’all know by now that I have been obsessed with yellow this summer. It is seriously the cutest color for the season. I saw these shorts in store and knew I had to buy them. They are so lightweight and comfortable, it actually feels like you’re wearing pajama shorts.
I’m wearing a size XS and it fits true to size. While they are technically considered low-rise shorts, I have styled them as high rise with a crop tank. I’ve really been loving high waisted shorts this summer and wanted to style these shorts like that as well. They have a very stretchy waist and tie band which makes it super easy to conform to your body!
What’s cool and kinda different about the shorts is that they are made in flaps. Like it’s not all one material connected, just adds a little extra detail to the shorts and I think it’s pretty cute. Although I would definitely recommend not wearing these on windy days, the shorts will literally blow right up and expose everything! They are also a little bit see-through, it’s not super noticeable but I’d recommend wearing something light underneath to prevent exposing.
These shorts are perfect for days at the beach or just hanging out around town. They really make any outfit cute! And they’re on sale for under $25 which got me super pumped! Can’t wait to wear these throughout the summer.
