Feelin’ 22

I seriously cannot believe today is my 22nd birthday, I do not feel 22 at all.  Where did the time go??  I know 22 is still pretty young, but to be honest, I feel a little old lol.  I know that’s a little crazy, but 22 really is a big difference from 21, I just can’t put it into words.  But so ready to cue those Taylor Swift 22 lyrics!

I know y’all were probably expecting a Friday Favorite blog post today, but as today is my birthday, I decided to do something a little different today and reflect on my 22nd year.  This blog post will be broken up into two parts.  The first part, I will be sharing some things you may not know about me as I turn 22.  And the second part, I will reflect on some highlights from the past year, all in total 22 things.

One: Turning 22 actually really scares me because I am so not ready to adult. (I actually feel right now that I’m gonna be a horrible adult and that terrifies me.)

Two: Marvel movies are my absolute favorite and Iron Man is probably my favorite superhero, I love Robert Downey Jr.!

Three: I love animals SO much, like maybe a little too much.  Sometimes I go to pet stores and just watch all the animals because they’re so dang cute!  I could literally spend a whole day in a pet store.

Four: Kinda similar to three above, but I love stuffed animals!  I think they are the cutest things and have always loved them.  Sometimes my boyfriend likes to joke around with me and throw one of my stuffed animals across the room, and it actually makes me sad! So much disrespect!!

Five:  I’ve never been outside of the continent.  I’ve been to Canada and Mexico and Hawaii a couple times, but that’s it.  I’d love to travel outside of the continent someday!

Six: I was diagnosed with mild asthma in high school and I occasionally experience anxiety and panic attacks – which are the worst!

Seven: My two favorite colors are gray and purple, I think they’re both really pretty colors.

Eight: I’m secretly really good at video games.  I played a lot of video games when I was growing up and still love to whenever I have time.  Mario Kart and car racing games are my favorite.

Nine: The future kinda freaks me out, you never know what’s going to happen and that scares me!

Ten: I was bullied in junior high school which caused me to have a low self-esteem and I struggled with confidence for a little while throughout school at that age.

Eleven: I’m really OCD about my room and my bathroom.  Everything has to go in their right spot or I can’t stop thinking about it.

Hope you enjoyed these little random facts!  I actually really love fun facts because they’re the perfect way to get to know others, and it’s fun to learn new things about others too!

Now I can’t wait to share with y’all some highlights from the past year as I enter my 22nd!

Twelve: I completed my program in school and am just working towards my minor for one more year until I graduate!

Thirteen: I traveled to New York City with my boyfriend in the winter time and experienced my first East Coast winter storm which was truly magical in NYC, not to mention the coldest cold I’ve ever experienced in my life.

Fourteen: I became more active with my blog and it has given me the most amazing opportunities I’d never thought I could do.

Fifteen: I attended my first ever Taylor Swift concert and it was SO much fun.

Sixteen: I participated in my first modeling gig at a local boutique which was a really cool experience and something I am so passionate about.

Seventeen: I started up a regular workout routine again and always feel a little better after I do some kind of daily workout.  It’s amazing how good it can make you feel after!

Eighteen: I started reading for fun again rather than always reading textbooks and articles for school.  (Young adult love stories are my favorite!)

Nineteen: I learned so many new things about blogging that I had never known before, all new things that have helped me grow and continue my blog.

Twenty: I explored a cave for the first time.

Twenty-One: I learned the importance of failure and how it really can make you a stronger person.

Twenty-Two:  And finally, I got my first internship for the summer which I just completed my first week of!  After applying to nearly 50-100 internships and getting either rejected or ignored (seriously a slap in the face), I finally got one that is perfect for me and that I am so excited about!

Thank you all so much for reading and supporting my blog as it continues to grow, it truly means a lot!

Now I’m off to have a fun day to celebrate 22!
