Happy Monday friends! Hope you all had a fun weekend and Valentine’s Day last week. Josh and I had SO much fun celebrating Valentine’s Day this year and I am so excited to share with you all everything we did to celebrate!
Josh and I wanted to do something fun and memorable together this Valentine’s Day to celebrate the day of love as we were celebrating both Valentine’s Day and our belated two and a half year anniversary and wanted to combine both celebrations into this one special day. Our two and a half year anniversary was actually just a couple weeks ago, but we were unable to celebrate on the day of since I had been on bedrest from a foot procedure I had done. So it was so much fun to celebrate both in one night!
To celebrate this year, we actually had a little staycation in downtown Seattle for the night and it was the perfect way to celebrate! We stayed at the Hyatt House downtown next to the Space Needle and spent the day wandering around Seattle. We spent a couple of hours walking around the city and then went to Westlake to do some shopping, and then went out to dinner at Hamanasu. For those who don’t know, Hamanasu is my favorite restaurant in Seattle for Asian food and it did not disappoint! Everything was SO good. I ordered the teriyaki chicken with steamed rice and Josh ordered the hibachi steak and fried rice – I honestly ate so much off of his plate too haha. I actually think I just forgot how good that restaurant was lol, I am so used to cooking my own frozen meals from Trader Joe’s at home and not used to high-quality Asian food, plus I love the Japanese steakhouses where they cook right in front of you – such a fun experience and being able to watch your food as it’s made – definitely recommend Hamanasu if you’re ever in Seattle!
I had the BEST time celebrating Valentine’s Day this year and our hotel was so great – I’ll be writing a blog post all about the specifics of the hotel and our staycation very soon! And if you are interested in shopping both my outfit and Josh’s outfit that we wore for Valentine’s Day, I will be linking it below.
What did you all do for Valentine’s Day this year? Let me know in the comments below!
