I can’t believe that in just 5 days I will be graduating college with a Bachelor’s Degree in Strategic Communication and a minor in Business Administration from Washington State University! I am beyond excited to enter the next chapter in my life, but tbh also extremely terrified for adulthood! Preparing all the graduation things nearing the end of this semester has been so exciting with applying to graduate, registering to walk at the commencement ceremony, and especially taking my graduation photos. If you are graduating this year like me, this post if for you! I am so excited to share with you all my graduation photos and, hopefully, these poses inspire you too for your own graduation photoshoot!
Pose Ideas #1: Walk Up Stairs
One of the best things about taking graduation photoshoots on campus is that the scenery is always so great and so photogenic. Walking up the stairs with your back toward the camera is such a fun photo idea and really focuses in on the beauty of the college campus in the background.
Pose Idea #2: Use props!
If your school has a flag, definitely use it in your photos! One of my favorite parts of the photo shoot was being able to represent my school and show school pride with my school’s flag, and there are so many different ways you can use it in your photos too, like waving it behind you or wrapped around you. Having it wrapped around me was actually the best because it was insanely windy and cold during this photoshoot, even though it may not look like it from these photos! It would also be fun to pop champagne bottles!
Pose Idea #3: Sit on a Bench
This is a great way to take a couple close-up shots and adds a different kind of element to your photos, especially with good scenery in the back!
Pose Idea #4: Throw Your Cap in the Air!
This part of the photo shoot was SO much fun! Perfectly captures that feeling of excitement for the graduation ceremony and being done with school!
Pose Idea #5: Power Stance
A classic shot to take in front of beautiful campus scenery. Put your hand or both hands on your hips and cross your legs and it immediately adds a little something extra to your photos!
All of my photos were taken by Simply Jessi Photography and she seriously did the best job and was so fun to shoot with! And, if you are interested in shopping my dress and shoes for graduation, I have linked them here and here.
Thanks for reading and congrats to the Class of 2019!
