Are you local to the greater Seattle area and looking for a weekend staycation and wanting to explore a different city in your area, or visiting the area and looking for a place to stay? If either of these applies to you, then this blog post is for you! I recently had the exciting opportunity to collaborate with the new Archer Hotel in Redmond (in Seattle’s east side) that just opened at the beginning of June to share with you all who are looking for your next luxe boutique hotel experience why this is the place to be.
For those new to the greater Seattle area or visiting for the first time, your first thought may be, why Redmond? While Redmond is no Bellevue or downtown Seattle, it is actually a vastly growing city full of things to do and see, home of Microsoft headquarters, and a quieter suburban city to stay as opposed to Bellevue or Seattle, with Archer Hotel being in the perfect location.
The new Archer Hotel is located right inside Redmond Town Center, a small outdoor shopping mall with many shopping and dining experiences to choose from such as American Eagle Outfitters, Asher Goods, Bath & Body Works, Evereve, Francesca’s, Gene Juarez Salon + Spa, Market Street Shoes, White House Black Market, BJ’s Restaurant + Brewhouse, Fuji Steakhouse, Hong Noodle, Lunchbox Laboratory, Pecado Bueno, The Original Pancake House, and much, much more.
If you are staying in Redmond in the summer months, in particular, Redmond Town Center actually hosts a car show (Exotics at RTC) every Saturday during the summer months, along with a Saturday market as well that are both definitely worth checking out and are just steps away from the hotel.
Walking into the new Archer Hotel filled me with such a warm and inviting feeling as upon stepping foot inside, you feel as if you’re at home. The entire lobby area is furnished with gorgeous furniture and an exquisite interior design that totally captures the vibe of the Pacific Northwest (PNW) and is absolutely gorgeous, along with a very welcoming staff and inviting atmosphere.
The lobby area includes a large bookshelf full of books and other PNW novelties, plenty of seating, a market, small games, and a full bar/restaurant that is also open to the public as well.
One special thing about the Archer Hotels is that each Archer Hotel is locally specialized to capture the essence of whichever Archer location you may be staying at. As the Archer Hotel in Redmond is the first and only Archer Hotel in Washington State, a lot of the hotel is specialized to western Washington, including the hotel’s artwork (all done by local artists/photographers), local candies and treats, local novelties as you’d see in an airport, PNW decor and design, and more. I thought this was something very special about the Archer Hotel as it is not typically something you get from any other hotel you may stay at.
If you are not looking to stay overnight at the hotel but are looking to host a special event, the Archer Hotel is a perfect choice for that as well! The hotel has a conference center, banquet hall, and more all tailored for business and parties or other special events.
And of course, for fun, the hotel also has a fitness center and pool for health and entertainment purposes. The fitness center is the perfect size for working out, not too small and not too large, full of nice brand new equipment. They even provide headphones for guests as well to use while working out, which I thought was a super cool idea as so many people listen to music while working out and may forget to bring them with.
Right next to the fitness center is the pool area that provides towels for guests and even pool toys for families with children. A majority of the main floor of the hotel has floor to ceiling “garage-door” like windows that bring in a lot of natural light, and this is so perfect in the pool area to get that outdoor feel while taking a swim. If you may not already know, the PNW is the rain capital of the country, so having an indoor pool is definitely better as pretty much any time of the year except for summertime, the Seattle area experiences a lot of rainfall.
Other amenities also included in the 7-story hotel are a parking garage, dry-cleaning, and laundry services, outdoor patio/bar, complimentary breakfast, and is also dog-friendly for dogs under 50 pounds (exception with service animals)!
This 7-story luxe hotel holds 160 guest rooms and suites all included with arrival gifts of water, candies, and a personalized note from Archer himself, five-star bedding, flat-screen TV, bedside device docking featuring an alarm clock and radio, in-room refrigeration, walk-in shower, complimentary slippers, and much more.
The Archer Hotel also has a bit of a variety of rooms to choose from such as corner suite rooms (Archer’s Den with Balcony), classic king, double king, and deluxe king studio.
