Driving in Style: The New 2019 Lexus LS 500

Over the weekend I had the awesome opportunity to test drive the new Lexus LS 500 through the Lexus Drive on Demand program. And today, I am going to share with you all what the Drive on Demand program entails (along with an opportunity for you to experience it as well!) and the many great features of the new vehicle and why it’s the perfect car for you and your lifestyle.

Let me start off by providing a little bit of background. I have admired Lexus vehicles basically ever since I learned how to drive and was beyond excited when Lexus reached out to me about this awesome opportunity. So, when I was able to actually drive the car around myself, it was SO much fun since I had never had the opportunity before. And the best part about it, this program can be for anyone so you can experience exactly what I did!

First off, in my opinion, the absolute best thing about this test driving experience program is that it is in no way a sales pitch. Do you ever go to a car dealership to look at potential new cars for yourself and feel almost attacked and harassed by car salesmen pressuring you into everything? I know I do, and this program provides the exact opposite which is beyond great. You’re there to test drive the car, see how you like it, learn about its features and everything else, with absolutely no pressure into buying. It’s awesome and I honestly think all car dealers need to provide a program like this!

How the Program Works:

Another great thing about the Lexus Drive on Demand program is that it is so flexible and can totally work around your schedule and your time. All test drive experiences are one hour and all you have to do is request the Lexus vehicle of your choice (that are available), a date and time that works for your schedule, a location, and your driving specialist will come and deliver the vehicle right to you, which is super convenient! Your driving specialist will also accompany you on your ride to help guide you through and answer any and all questions you may have about the car.

Features of the Car:

Now, let’s talk about the car’s features! I was beyond impressed with everything the LS 500 had to offer, it really is luxury driving and it spoiled me so much! Some of my favorite notable features of the car include:

Heated and cooling leather seats
Gorgeous wood and leather interior
Panorama glass roof
Massaging seats (front seats and back seats)
Very spacious backseat
Power reclining rear seats
Heated steering wheel
Thick windows that help block out loud road noise
Easy to drive

First off, yes, you read that right, the seats actually massage you! I am someone who gets regular headaches and back pain and always need massages to help reduce the pain, and driving around town for 3 hours while also getting massaged made the experience that much more enjoyable and relaxing! Can my car have massaging seats now? Haha!

Another thing about the car that completely blew my mind was the fact that it had not only heated seats, but cooling seats as well (like A/C for your bottom!). For a car with leather seats, this is genius! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve gotten into a car with leather seats on a hot day and completely burn my bottom. You can basically be at the perfect temperature at all times while driving this car.

I also loved how the windows are bit thicker which helps block out a lot of loud road noise (especially when you’re driving on the freeway). It’s a very calm drive and has everything you need to help you stay relaxed while driving!

Lastly, even if you may not even be interested in purchasing a Lexus vehicle or can’t afford it, I still highly recommend the program just for fun! Josh came along with me on my drive to help take photos, and honestly, it was like a little date day in itself because we got to do something fun and experience something new together. The perfect way to spend a Saturday with your significant other!
