I have been trying out so many new makeup and skincare products this summer that I felt were definitely worth sharing as a lot of what I’m sharing today has completely transformed my skin over the past month. Now that I’m getting older, I’ve started to pay a lot more attention than I used to about my facial features and skin features and finding different products to try to sort of fix particular features and overall improve my skin. And these have all worked incredibly well for me!
1. Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer
This has easily become my favorite concealer for so many reasons. First off, it has a super easy to use applicator that the concealer liquid comes out of and makes it so much easier to apply on to your face. It also does such a good job of concealing while also keeping your under eye area hydrated. I’ve tried a couple different concealers that have all dried out my under eye area and I can’t stand the way that looks by the end of the day when it’s all dry and almost has that cracked skin look. This concealer does a great job of avoiding that!
2. Drunk Elephant Protini Polypeptide Moisturizer
This product is great for any skin type which I absolutely love. I have combination skin where certain areas of my face get really dry and other parts can get really oily and this moisturizer has been super useful for my face all over. It helps with overall firmness of your skin, dryness, and provides overall more healthy-looking skin. I’ve been using it for a couple weeks now and love how healthy and fresh my skin looks and feels after using it!
3. Drunk Elephant Beste No. 9 Jelly Cleanser
One thing I love about this product is that it’s something I never knew I needed. This product is primarily intended for makeup removal and I’ve been using it as a supplement to my current method of removing my makeup and this product really is so beneficial. I use the makeup eraser cloth to remove my makeup every day, and then use this product right after to ensure I’ve gotten everything off. So many times I remove my makeup without realizing I haven’t fully got everything off which is so bad for your skin, making this product extremely useful in my nighttime skincare routine and helps so much with healthier skin.
4. No7 Instant Illusion Wrinkle Filler
This is SO helpful for those of us with fine lines and wrinkles looking to cover up and temporarily erase those lines. I have the biggest crease on my forehead that I’ve had for years, and now that I’m getting older, I don’t know if it’s starting to get bigger or I’ve just noticed it more and felt more insecure about it, but using this product every night has helped so much in hiding that huge line and making it less extreme. I also use it on other fine lines that are starting to appear on my face as well. This product will literally be your best friend when it comes to younger-looking skin.
5. Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer
I’ve tried out so many different bronzers and after trying this one, in particular, I think I’ve found my new favorite. I love the color of the natural bronze tone on my face and it provides just the right amount of coverage without looking too caked on. A bit more expensive than drugstore makeup but really does the job well!
6. Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream
This is my number one all-time favorite skincare product I’ve tried for my eye area and has helped this area so much for me. My under eye area is insanely dry and when wearing the wrong type of concealer, I always would have that dry and cracked skin look under my eyes at the end of the day and I could not stand it. I heard so many great reviews about this eye cream and decided to try it out and it has been a total game-changer for me! It does such a great job of hydrating your under-eye area and even makes you look more awake and less tired in the mornings too. And it’s affordable too which I also love!
7. Ice Roller
I have incorporated this ice roller into my nightly skincare routine and it’s one of my favorite parts of my routine. After I’ve washed my face, put on my eye cream, and wrinkle filler I use this ice roller for 5-10 minutes before going to bed and it works wonders and is also super relaxing. The ice roller is intended to help your skin by reducing puffiness, inflammation, pain relief, and much more. When I first tried it I thought the ice-cold feel of the roller would be way too chilly but it actually feels so good and the roller is also a nice way to sort of massage your face and relax before bed. I wake up looking so awake and ready to go even when I’m insanely tired after using this each night and have also noticed that my skin hardly ever has acne as the ice reduces the inflammation of acne building up. So many great benefits from ice rolling and so inexpensive!
I’ve linked all products in today’s post above as I talked about them and also linked everything down below for quick and easy shopping if you’re interested in giving any of these a try as well!
