It is officially the holiday season with Christmas being exactly a month away and I am so excited about it! I absolutely love this time of year and love everything Christmas, from watching Christmas movies, all the holiday lights and decorations everywhere, fun events and activities, and reading some good Christmas books! So, today, I’ll be sharing a round-up of some great Christmas books you need to read this holiday season to get in the festive and jolly spirit!
Book #1: Christmas Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella
Ok, who else loved the Confessions of a Shopaholic movie when it came out years ago? This was one of my favorite movies when I was an early teen and loved it, such a cute story! When I heard Sophie Kinsella came out with a Christmas Shopaholic story this year, I immediately added it to my shopping cart and knew I had to read it this holiday season. I’m over halfway through it already and I love it, such a good book!
In Christmas Shopaholic, Rebecca Brandon-Bloomwood is living in England with her husband, Luke Brandon, and her daughter, Minnie. While working at her best friend’s, Suze, giftshop, Rebecca (Becky) is still just as much of a shopaholic when it comes to holiday shopping for the perfect gifts for everyone in her life, herself, and more. Among her shopping habits, she is also instructed to host Christmas at her home this year instead of her family hosting as usual, and is caught up in holiday party planning and accommodating to everyone’s needs and requests, shopping for the perfect gifts, caught up when her ex-boyfriend returns to town, and managing to keep Christmas full of comfort and joy.
Book #2: The Christmas Sisters by Sarah Morgan
I have yet to read this book but I’ve heard so many good things about it! Honestly, I think what really drew me into the book was the cover, it’s so cute and all things Christmas and winter wonderland, I love it!
In this book, Suzanne McBride dreams of the perfect Christmas with her three adopted daughters that are coming home to Scotland for the holidays but tensions are running high among the sisters and Suzanne must rely on the magic of the season to bring her daughters together at home for the holidays.
Book #3: Kisses in the Snow by Debbie Macomber
This also sounded like such a cute book to read for the holidays with a romance and a love story! Kisses in the Snow features two holiday love stories in one book, the first being The Christmas Basket, and the second being, Let It Snow.
In The Christmas Basket, high-school sweethearts Noelle and Thomas that had planned to elope are reunited after ten years and rediscover their love for each other while tensions rise between their mothers that stands in their way of a second chance together.
In Let It Snow, Shelly Griffin experiences flight complications due to weather conditions and is stuck sharing the last available rental car with an attractive man whom she’s not quite sure she likes yet. After spending so many hours together sharing a rental car, she is shown that this may be a man who could change her life! Will this be the special gift she brings home for the holidays?
