One of my favorite little corners of our apartment is the small area in between the window and my side of the bed where my bedside table is. Keeping a consistent nightly routine is so important to me and really helps with my quality of sleep and my overall well-being, which is why I make sure to keep a couple of my favorite nightly routine items right on my bedside table. So today, I wanted to roundup some of my nightstand essentials that I use each and every night. Let’s get started!

Item #1: The Five-Minute Journal
The Five-Minute Journal is the gratitude journal I started using in early 2020 and is something I use every single morning and night to set my intentions for the day, reflect on what I’m grateful for, what I can do in my daily routine to become a better person, etc. I make sure to keep this on my bedside table as a reminder to myself for this to be the first thing I do in the morning to start my day, and the last thing I do before I go to sleep.
Item #2: Body Lotion/Moisturizer
One of my biggest pet peeves is having dry skin, I just cannot stand the feeling of it! I always keep body lotion/moisturizer by my bed to moisturize areas that get super dried out very easily like my hands and feet, this time of year especially.

Item #3: Cup of Water
I always take a couple sips of water each night before bed to prevent drying out my throat and mouth overnight or waking up in the middle of the night with a cough, etc. It’s always so refreshing!
Item #4: Tissue Box + Vicks VapoRub Cream
I’ve always had some nasal problems that can occasionally make breathing out of my nose a bit tougher which is why I always put a little bit of Vicks VapoRub cream under my nose each night to help clear out my nasal passages so I can breathe easier through my nose throughout the night. It always makes such a difference!

Item #5: Tech Charging Station
Josh got me this tech charging station a couple years ago and it’s definitely nice to have to easily charge your tech devices all in one place – AirPods, Apple Watch, and iPhone all in one spot!
Item #6: Kindle
Working full-time and running a side business can definitely make finding time to read challenging which means I don’t get to read as many books in a timely manner as I would have hoped. The evening or the weekends are really the only time I have to read, so I always keep my Kindle by my bedside and like to read a chapter or two each night of whatever book I may be reading at the time.

Item #7: Silk Hair Scrunchies
My silk hair scrunchies have been a game changer! I like to keep my hair out of my face at night but also don’t want to wake up with crazy creases in my hair or anything like that. I wear my hair in a loose, low ponytail each night with my silk hair scrunchies and it’s super gentle on my hair which means it doesn’t pull out any of my hair like other regular hair ties or scrunchies and helps with keeping my hair healthier and stronger.
Item #8: Sugarbearhair Sleep Vitamins
For those that have been following my blog for a while now, you may remember me sharing how I started to experience sleep issues in 2020 since it was such an anxiety filled year and how I started taking these sleep vitamins. I try not to depend on them and maybe use them once or twice a month now, but they are great! If you ever experience any issues sleeping, highly recommend checking these out. They say to take two, but I usually just take one and even the one will knock me out pretty good throughout the night.
