While I have always been a pretty light sleeper my whole life, I have never been one to have sleep issues until this year. Given my heightened stress and anxiety this year due to these unprecedented times we’re currently living in and still being a bit new to adulting and all the stress that comes along with that, and things that have been happening in my own personal life this year, it has all added up and has really decreased the quality of my sleep this year, something I really rely on to feel my best. I know a lot of people can have very few hours of sleep and still fully function, but for me personally, I need my full 7-8 hours of sleep each night or I really struggle the next day in being able to function, even with coffee. Given how many nights have gone by this year where I slept poorly, I’ve tried many different things to help with my sleep issues and I have found some that work for me that I wanted to share with you all today. If you’ve been experiencing sleep issues lately and are looking for some easy techniques on how to improve your overall quality of sleep, this blog post is for you!Continue reading “How to Get a Better Night’s Sleep”
A lot of gyms may still be closed, but I am making full use of working out from home throughout quarantine, even in my small one bedroom apartment! Keeping up with my health and wellness throughout quarantine this year has been super important to me and honestly has really helped with keeping me feeling sane through the madness that 2020 has been and has also been such a great way to de-stress and take my mind off of everything. After each workout that I do, I always find myself with the post-workout munchies and immediately head for the kitchen to refuel after a good workout. Today I’ll be sharing my go-to post-workout snack that helps me feel refreshed and energized, even after a tough workout.Continue reading “My Go-To Post-Workout Snack”
If there’s one thing I’ve learned about setting personal goals, it’s that while it may seem very easy and achievable at first, it can also seem overwhelming or even impossible later on. I know most of us set new years resolutions every year and are super motivated to achieve them for the first couple days, but after those first couple days pass, we abandon them, and then repeat that cycle every year. If this sounds like you, you’ve come to the right place! I absolutely love goal setting and pushing myself to become the best version of myself that I can be and wanted to share some of my tips and tricks on how to stay on track with personal goals and not abandon them.Continue reading “How to Stay on Track with Personal Goals”
Back at the start of 2020, I set a primary goal for the year to focus on living an overall healthier and more active lifestyle. While I have always been healthy and active for the most part, I’ve noticed this year especially that certain things I used to be able to do or even eat as a teenager or a college student not too long ago, I can no longer do or eat just at 24 years old. Experiencing the effects of adulting, I’ve made two small changes this year and have stuck with it and have noticed the biggest difference in doing so, especially on days when I skip it! So today I wanted to share the two small lifestyle changes I have made in 2020 and just how big of a difference they have made on me and my overall health and wellness.Continue reading “The 2 Small Lifestyle Changes I’ve Made in 2020 That Have Made the Biggest Difference”
Throughout quarantine, I’ve really prioritized my morning and evening routines to keep myself on a good schedule while staying home to help stay motivated and positive during these uncertain times. So today, I figured I’d share my everyday evening/nightly routine and everything I do to end my day on a good note to go along with my morning routine post!
