The 2 Small Lifestyle Changes I’ve Made in 2020 That Have Made the Biggest Difference

Back at the start of 2020, I set a primary goal for the year to focus on living an overall healthier and more active lifestyle. While I have always been healthy and active for the most part, I’ve noticed this year especially that certain things I used to be able to do or even eat as a teenager or a college student not too long ago, I can no longer do or eat just at 24 years old. Experiencing the effects of adulting, I’ve made two small changes this year and have stuck with it and have noticed the biggest difference in doing so, especially on days when I skip it! So today I wanted to share the two small lifestyle changes I have made in 2020 and just how big of a difference they have made on me and my overall health and wellness.

Drinking enough water every single day can definitely be challenging. I’ll admit some days can be hard for me to stay on track with that too. However, one thing I like to do to help force myself to drink more water throughout the day whenever I feel myself getting thirsty is to add fruits into my water for a little extra taste. It can be so easy to grab for any drink you have in your fridge, some that may not be as good for you. So whenever I want something a bit more exciting than regular water, I love adding fruits for extra taste and refreshment!

How to Stay Hydrated On-the-Go

Throughout quarantine, I’ve made sure to stay active to maintain a healthy lifestyle, and I have to admit, having a puppy with endless amounts of energy has helped a lot with that. My golden retriever, Charlotte, is just 10 months old and needs a walk 1-2 times a day which has forced me to get my steps in for the day and burn some calories by taking her for long walks, in addition to my daily pilates workouts. As I have been exercising a lot more lately, I know how important it is to stay hydrated while living an active lifestyle.
